RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.   The Community Affairs Director will represent RES within the Klamath Basin and help the organization create and maintain connections with Tribes, NGOs, federal, state and local government representatives, other stakeholders and the community at large.  This role will ensure RES has a strong understanding of local needs in the Basin, and provide input on programs, messaging and communications that optimize RES’ ability to serve customers, stakeholders and natural resources in the Basin.   This role requires senior-level experience in community engagement around complex land-use issues, as well as general knowledge of all aspects of these issues specific to the Basin. A strong network of local relationships is highly desired.   The Community Affairs Director will be based within commuting distance to the Basin and is expected to travel frequently to maintain relationships and serve as the recognized, local face and regular presence for RES in the Basin. The role will engage in public meetings and one-on-one meetings throughout the region, and will serve as the liaison for local, national and international media. The Community Affairs Director will report to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with the RES teams in California and Oregon on a day to day basis.   This role will also occasionally support companywide RES initiatives related to community engagement and media relations.

The majority of the sites and projects are within California and require a thorough knowledge of the ecology of California estuaries, rivers, and lakes. This role requires ecological understanding of diverse aquatic systems and the ability to write and verbally communicate technical information with a variety of stakeholders including clients, regulatory agencies, internal team members, and other RES technical staff and project managers throughout the country. This position will report directly to the Senior Fisheries Biologist and assist with projects across the entire region as needed.   The role of the Aquatic Ecologist requires technical skills, strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and confidently to achieve task goals. This is a junior level role, with the ability to advance within RES, and the expectation that the successful candidate will work collaboratively with our growing aquatics group. This person will primarily work on the design, permitting/entitlement, implementation, and monitoring of several large-scale restoration and mitigation projects in the California Central Valley and Bay-Delta System. The fisheries biologist will support our Senior Fisheries Biologist in conducting native fish restoration planning, design, and implementation services involving the following species: Delta smelt, longfin smelt, Chinook salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, and lamprey.

RES ecological solutions enable a balance of economic development and ecological sustainability.   The Construction Equipment Operator will serve as an Operator I for the construction of stream and wetland restoration projects throughout the PA, WV, and OH region.  This will include equipment operation, manual labor, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep around the project site.
