Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Temporary Data Entry Clerk based in Houston, TX—a unique opportunity for someone eager to explore the intersection of business and environmental restoration. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience working on wetland and stream mitigation projects over a four-month term (with potential to extend). You’ll collaborate closely with our regional analyst to review USACE 404 permits, record project data in excel, and generate monthly metrics, all while contributing to real-world environmental solutions. This position is hourly paid and designed for those passionate about data-driven environmental impact. You will be spending around 8 hours a week on the assigned tasks, in our Houston TX, office.

What your day-to-day might look like?

  • Data Management: Accurately input, update, and maintain datasets in our internal databases and spreadsheets (SharePoint, Salesforce, Excel)
  • Data Verification & Reporting: Review and validate project information for accuracy and assist in compiling reports based on market research and project findings.
  • Administrative Support: Help organize files, manage correspondence, and schedule meetings to keep the team on track.
  • Market Analysis Support: Work with your colleagues to collect and organize market-related data, aiding in the identification of projects within our target geographic regions and supporting suitability reviews of projects that may be for: transportation, public works, commercial or residential developments.

Qualifications

We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • Education: Current Senior in an Undergraduate program or a recent Graduate (within 1 year) in Environmental Science, Sustainable Management/Business, Environmental Economics/Policy, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to both independent and team-based tasks.
  • Availability: Must be available to work 8 hours per week, with a preference for in-office attendance
