RES is accepting applications for a Mid-Level Restoration Ecology Scientist for our Chicago, IL, Brodhead, WI or Milwaukee, WI. The mission: Reporting to the Regional Sciences Manager, this position will support our clients and operations teams with knowledgeable ecological consulting and high-quality project delivery across a variety of ecosystem restoration and mitigation projects. The Scientist will need knowledge and experience in a wide range of ecologically related disciplines such as soils, water, plants, animals, and restoration, as well as the regulatory environment of mitigation projects. Occasional travel is expected with some overnight stays; field work is expected around 30% of your time.

RES is seeking people interested in a natural resources career as a Restoration Technician I based out of our ​Albany, NY office.     In the Northeast, RES provides a full array of ecological restoration and consulting services, stream and shoreline construction, wetland mitigation banking, and green infrastructure installation to clients in the private and public sectors, the main work site is in New York.     A successful candidate for this position will be interested in gaining experience in the following areas: invasive plant species control, native plant and seed installation, stream, and shoreline stabilization/construction, prescribed burning, and other types of habitat restoration.     This position is Full-time but depends on the workload and weather conditions. Overtime hours will be required during peak periods. Depending on the project location, travel and overnight stay within the Northeast region may be required. Most of the work is outdoors, often in inclement weather and on rugged terrain. RES is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to assist with the facilitation of projects to ensure timely execution through organization of project components and are completed within budget. This position will be assigned to the project in Medora, ND and Dickinson, ND.   The mission: The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the day to day coordination and/or oversight of each project and will report project progress, issues, concerns, to the PM.  It is expected that the APM will be able to attend site meetings and coordinate with the onsite inspectors, visitors, and other parties associated with the project as a part of their daily duties.  Should project issues arise the APM will coordinate with the PM for guidance and issue resolution.

The work is seasonally steady and will require over 50 hours per week. Opportunities for weekend work during peak periods. Ability to travel up to 75% within the region. Significant travel may be required for some projects. The region includes Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and Ohio.
