The mission: Reporting to the Regional Sciences Manager, this position will support our clients and operations teams with knowledgeable ecological consulting and high-quality project delivery across a variety of ecosystem restoration and mitigation projects. The Scientist will need knowledge and experience in a wide range of ecologically related disciplines such as soils, water, plants, animals, and restoration, as well as the regulatory environment of mitigation projects. Occasional travel is expected with some overnight stays; field work is expected around 30% of your time.

The mission: Join a growing, multi-disciplinary, and innovative team of restoration designers and water resource engineers currently working on some of the nation’s largest stream and wetland restoration projects, hydraulic and hydrology investigations, and sustainable stormwater management. RES is currently looking for a Restoration Supervisor II professional. This position will be assigned to the project in Lockport, IL.    The mission: This position is approximately 10% at the RES field office, 90% in the field. The primary function of the Restoration Supervisor II is to complete restoration work in the field and supervise Restoration Technicians. 

RES is seeking people interested in a natural resources career as a Restoration Technician I based out of our ​Albany, NY office.     In the Northeast, RES provides a full array of ecological restoration and consulting services, stream and shoreline construction, wetland mitigation banking, and green infrastructure installation to clients in the private and public sectors, the main work site is in New York.     A successful candidate for this position will be interested in gaining experience in the following areas: invasive plant species control, native plant and seed installation, stream, and shoreline stabilization/construction, prescribed burning, and other types of habitat restoration.     This position is Full-time but depends on the workload and weather conditions. Overtime hours will be required during peak periods. Depending on the project location, travel and overnight stay within the Northeast region may be required. Most of the work is outdoors, often in inclement weather and on rugged terrain. RES is looking for a Horticultural Assistant with at least 2+ years of experience for our Baldwin City, KS office.   The mission: The Horticultural Assistant will assist in a variety of horticultural activities at the direction of a supervisor or team leader, including containerized native plant and seed propagation, production, growing and inventory control from start to finish. RES is looking to find a Seasonal Restoration Technician for our restoration teams across the state. Travel is required throughout the State/Region based on project location. Overnight travel is expected.   The job will consist of 100% fieldwork ranging from invasive brush cutting, tree felling, equipment operation, planting, seeding, and maintenance of natural areas through herbicide application and equipment operations.

The Nursery Equipment Operator will assist the Seed Production Manager in carrying out various tasks as assigned including basic equipment use and maintenance on a full-time basis. This position will be based out of our Brodhead, WI nursery.    The Mission: Using a variety of agricultural and horticultural equipment to aid in the growing, care, maintenance, harvesting and inventory control of native seeds and plants.  Assist in a variety of agricultural and horticultural activities at the direction of a supervisor or team leader. This role will occasionally manage labor, equipment, and materials related to nursery operations.

RES is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to assist with the facilitation of projects to ensure timely execution through organization of project components and are completed within budget. This position will be assigned to the project in Medora, ND and Dickinson, ND.   The mission: The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the day to day coordination and/or oversight of each project and will report project progress, issues, concerns, to the PM.  It is expected that the APM will be able to attend site meetings and coordinate with the onsite inspectors, visitors, and other parties associated with the project as a part of their daily duties.  Should project issues arise the APM will coordinate with the PM for guidance and issue resolution.

RES is looking for a RegionalFinance Analyst to support our operations in the Gulf region, based out of the Houston, TX office in a hybrid setting.   The mission: RES is growing exponentially year over year, and so does the finance team that supports the operations on a regional basis.
