Overview

RES is looking to add a Construction Manager to be based out of our Lititz, PA Office.

The mission: As the Owner/Developer’s representative for full delivery of RES-owned projects, you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver top-tier environmental solutions. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our subcontractor and vendor communications are seamless and effective. You will handle subcontractor solicitation and quality control activities on integrated delivery projects, managing constructability and maintenance planning from start to finish. This ensures tasks are completed on schedule and under budget. This role involves overnight travel, approximately 50% of the time, as you will visit the diverse landscapes and dynamic projects that RES is proud to lead.

What your day-to-day might look like?

Subcontractor and Vendor Relationship. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with preferred subcontractors and vendors across the region is key. You will work to create comprehensive RFPs that support successful project implementation. Your ability to foster and nurture these relationships will ensure predictable and high-quality project outcomes.

Bidding Document Development. You will be responsible for developing bidding documents required to solicit construction and maintenance phase proposals and pricing from vendors and subcontractors. This task, performed under the supervision of the Operations Manager and as directed by the Project Manager, ensures that all proposals are thorough and aligned with project specifications. You'll leverage your ability to read, understand, and train others to interpret design plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Constructability Review and Value Engineering. You will support early-stage concept development through site evaluations, risk analysis, rough order-of-magnitude cost estimating, and value engineering. Reviewing and providing feedback through the design and construction plan iterations, you will determine feasibility, access, soils, hydrology, material sourcing, and utilities. Your expertise will ensure that all factors contributing to successful project implementation are thoroughly considered and optimized.

Accounting/Financial Submittals. Accurately submitting requisitions and invoices promptly using the standard RES systems and processes is crucial. Your attention to detail and proficiency in financial submittals will ensure timely and precise accounting, contributing to the project's financial health.

Estimating. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will utilize standardized estimating tools and processes to accurately prepare construction and maintenance cost estimates for medium to large-scale integrated delivery projects. Your role involves completing risk evaluations using established procedures for both the construction and maintenance phases, ensuring accurate and reliable cost assessments.

Tracking & Record Keeping. You will work closely with the Project Management and Operations teams to translate weekly progress reports from the field into standard tracking documents and formats.
