Overview

RES is looking for an Environmental Health, Safety & Security Specialist with 2+ years of experience in EHS&S, to Serve our Midwest region, (preferably based in WI, IL)

 

The mission: With our operations continuing to grow, RES needs a leader in safety to help educate, preserve, and monitor our safety practices for the Midwest. We are looking for a Collaborator who seeks to be Proactive in finding leading indicators and avoid incidents. This candidate will be comfortable in a Largely Field Based Role, providing Hands on Guidance, Training, and being a Leader in preserving RES’s safety culture.

What your day-to-day might look like?

60% of your time, you will be in the field visiting sites: Visiting field-based crews, providing training as needed, providing equipment inspections, and performing incident reports/inspections.

 

Note that travel is expected to sites within our Midwest Region (primarily within WI, IL, MN, IN) This travel will largely be day trips, though it will sometimes require overnight lodging.

 

40% of your time, you will be at your desk: Collaborating with the safety team, hosting safety committee meetings, and providing new-employee safety orientations. You may also be responsible for vendor compliance and subcontractor approvals.

Qualifications

We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:

 

· 2+ years of experience in EHS&S with heavy field contact.

· Experience in the construction industry.

· Experience working with field-based crews

 

What will make you stand out:

 

· BA/ BS in a relevant field of study

· OSHA 500 certification or eligibility to receive certification after hiring.

· BCSP certification or the ability to obtain certification

· Experience in leading the development of safety programs
