RES is looking to find a Seasonal Restoration Technician for our restoration teams across the state in Janesville, WI. Travel is required throughout the State/Region based on project location. Overnight travel is expected.
The mission: The job will consist of 100% fieldwork ranging from invasive plant removal/management, tree felling, equipment operation, restoration planting, seeding, and maintenance of natural areas through herbicide application and equipment operations. Stream restoration, Stormwater, Restoration planting, Invasive plant removal/management, and Landscape construction are also part of the fieldwork. Work is seasonally steady and will require 40 to 50 hours per week. Opportunities for weekend work during peak periods. Ability to travel up to 25% within the region.
If you are an avid outdoors person and want to start your journey in ecological restoration industry – this is the right job for you. Please note that we also work outside come rain or come shine, and are exposed to insects including ticks and mosquitoes, or to poisonous plants such as poison ivy. You will be walking long distances, and carry equipment, such as chainsaws and gas-powered brush cutters & augers or a sprayer (up to 50 lbs).
