RES is currently accepting applications for the position of Land Representative, based out of our Glen Burnie offices.
The mission: This is a key position for our project development team since the Land Rep is the one who brings projects to the team! You will be blanketing MD and beyond in your company truck and developing relationships with the landowners and community business leaders, thus securing property rights and enabling project realization. It involves interaction with many of the RES functions, including sales, regulatory, ecology, construction, analysts, and in-house counsel. You will also talk to outside counsel and Real Estate Broker and Agents.
Around 40% of your time will be spent visiting landowners around the state, this position is on-the-go.
Around 30% of your time will be dedicated to pre-acquisition and negotiation processes, including purchase and sales agreements and mitigation project agreements. You will also assist in due diligence items including survey and title and assist in the preparation and organization of closing documents. Some assistance will be required for the development of projects in the proposal process for projects in different phases.
Around 30% of your time, you will be doing analytical work - analyzing property data and land records for the suitability of restoration sites, running numbers associated with the acquisition of new land assets, working with management to prepare and maintain monthly cash flow statements, and assisting in creating preliminary project budgets.
