    RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 294 stream miles and 58,024 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 9,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 14,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 250 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.


    RES is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Environmental Construction Superintendent. This position will be headquartered out of the Raleigh, NC office.


    The Environmental Construction Superintendent will oversee on-site construction and repairs of varying types of stream restoration and wetland mitigation projects as well as storm water compliance facilities, including but not limited to: wet and dry detention basins, bio-retention facilities, sand filters, infiltration, bio-swales, etc. The selected Superintendent will be responsible for oversight of their crew’s construction operations, safety, and work quality, as well as direct participation in construction tasks. In order to successfully execute their responsibilities, it will be necessary to directly participate with the crew in performing the construction tasks.



    • Oversee construction operations for stream restoration and wetland mitigation primarily with potential for work on various types of storm water compliance facilities.
    • Direct crew (2-6 members) in all on-site construction tasks
    • Participate directly in construction tasks, including equipment operation and plan adherence
    • Coordinate with operations manager, construction managers, project managers, construction administrators and crew members to ensure all work is completed on time, within budget and within specification.
    • Be a team player



    • 5 or more years years experience in Construction Industry
    • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • 5 or more years construction equipment operation experience
    • Ability to assist in multiple project efforts simultaneously and therefore prioritize effectively
    • Able-bodied and able to lift items up to 100lbs (such as sacks of materials, water pumps, chainsaw and other large power tools)
    • Ability to effectively read and understand plans


    • Experience in Stream Restoration, Wetland Mitigation, Storm Water Facility Construction, Repair, or Retrofit
    • Ability to Shoot Grades
    • Crew Leadership Experience
