    RES is seeking a full-time, on-site safety professional with a minimum of five years dedicated past safety experience, whose sole responsibility was managing safety.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in identification, analysis and control of occupational hazards requiring the application of professional engineering knowledge, skill and abilities.
    • May advise on structural safety requirements
    • Incident and Near Miss Investigations
    • Enforce corporate and project specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards.
    • Supervise and coordinate all safety and environmental functions according to corporate policy and project safety documents, to ensure compliance.
    • Ensure a safe work environment and that all practices are in compliance with company and project, local, State and Federal rules, laws and regulations.
    • Audit and inspect equipment to make sure their operation is within manufacturers’ guidelines.
    • Produce and submit necessary reports.
    • Initiate and implement safety and environmental training programs for all personnel.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in safety and health or related discipline.
    • Minimum of five years dedicated past safety experience, with sole responsibility managing safety
    • STS/STSC, CHST, ASP preferred
    • Able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
    • First Aid, CPR & AED Certification
    • OSHA 30 Hour for Construction
    • 40 Hour HAZWOPER preferred

    Physical Demands
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
