    RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 180 stream miles and 40,400 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 6,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 11,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 240 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.

     

    RES is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our operations department in Lafayette, LA. This position reports to the Gulf Coast Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading and assisting with projects, budgets, field management and providing overall support to the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with operational Project Management
    • Work closely with Operations Manager on estimating and tracking project budgets
    • Advise operations staff of material, budget or schedule changes as the project is implemented
    • Assist with Invasive Management Tracking
    • Assist team with site design
    • Ability to conduct drone flights for each site before, during, and after construction
    • Assist with temporary agricultural workforce planning and coordination
    • Assist regulatory team with constructability of project sites
    • Deliver mitigation bank and PRM site operational readiness and implementation
    • Manage projects from construction and planting through the monitoring period
    • Communicate and require health and safety standards for RES employees as well as subcontractors
    • Ensure accurate timekeeping and equipment logs for daily equipment use

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 5 or more years working in field operations or civil construction
    • Experience working on natural resource or water resource infrastructure projects
    • Willing and able to perform and comply with the following items:
    • lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
    • working outside in harsh and under adverse weather conditions
    • walking long distances
    • Ability to undertake field work that includes, operating ATVs, tractors, skid steers, and trucks with trailers
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license & should be willing to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
    • The ability to be organized, detail-oriented, quick learning, punctual, self-motivated and work independently to achieve specific goals and with minimum supervision; a willing attitude to undertake all professional tasks necessary to accomplish Company and contract goals
    • An ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with a diverse group of coworkers, consultants, contractors, clients and regulators
    • Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours

     

    Desired:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Natural Resources
