RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 180 stream miles and 40,400 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 6,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 11,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 240 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.


As a Business Devolopment Analyst, you will work as part of the corporate Business Development team to develop markets by finding opportunities to grow incremental revenue and margin. Research and evaluate opportunities to deliver a robust, high-quality pipeline to sustain regional presence and enable financial success.


  • Conduct comprehensive market research and present findings and recommendations to Business Development team, Executive team and Regional teams
  • Monitor industry statistics and trends
  • Conduct deep dives and provide growth forecasting and modeling for target markets and opportunities
  • Champion business cases for solutions in existing and new markets
  • Vet ad hoc opportunities
  • Aid in transition of pipeline from Business Development team to the Regions
  • Provide competitive intelligence and monitoring

  • Energy/Power & Utilities/Industrial/Commercial/Government/Private Developers/NGOs and Non-Profits
  • Environmental Consulting/Permitting/Engineering Firms
  • Federal/State Regulatory Agencies



  • BS/BA/MS in the Environmental Sciences or Economics
  • 8+ years of applicable professional experience
  • Business/Market Development and Analysis


  • BS/BA in the Environmental Sciences or Economics and MS/MBA
  • 12+ years of applicable professional experience
  • Direct working experience with RES key client sectors (Energy/Power & Utilities/Industrial/ Commercial/Government/Private/NGO)
  • Client-focused, performance-driven execution
  • Environmental/Engineering/Project Development/Regulatory Experience
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills
