Overview

RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 180 stream miles and 40,400 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 6,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 11,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 240 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.

 

As a project assistant, this position would support several project managers in the administrative management of engineering and consulting contracts with a diverse range of clients.  Typical duties would include weekly and monthly invoicing, preparing progress reports, tracking budgets, documenting SWAM business utilization, following up on accounts receivable, and preparing contract required documents and reports.  Additional duties may include projecting future workloads, tracking progress toward financial goals, and supporting corporate accounting department.  The work requires attention to detail and accuracy to insure that contract obligations are carried out on schedule and meet the clients requirements.

Responsibilities

 Typical job duties include:

 

  • Weekly and monthly invoicing
  • Preparing progress reports
  • Tracking budgets (hours, dollars) as needed for specific projects
  • Documenting SWAM business utilization and preparing quarterly reports
  • Processing vendor and subconsultant invoices as may be needed for specific projects
  • Following up on Accounts Receivable
  • Reviewing Monthly Billing on projects and preparing invoices for PM approval
  • Preparing contract required documents and reports

Additional duties may include:

 

  • Projecting future workloads
  • Tracking progress toward financial goals
  • Supporting the corporate accounting department

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School Degree or G.E.D.
  • 2 or more years with experience with accounting software
  • Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Desired:

 

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Experience with Deltek and/or Viewpoint

Understanding of basic accounting principles

Experience in an engineering, construction, or consulting firm

Ability to interpret contract administrative requirements and implement billing procedures
