Overview

RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 180 stream miles and 40,400 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 6,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 11,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 240 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.

 

The Land Representative will develop relationships with prospective landowners with the goal of closing on property acquisitions in fee simple or joint development via application of conservation easement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze property data in market areas for suitability of sites
  • Negotiate and recommend purchase and joint development opportunities to Management
  • Assist in the investment memo preparation and organization of closing documents
  • Assist in design and approval of projects in regulatory phase
  • Assist in development of projects in field operations phase
  • Secure relationships and local knowledge concerning market needs, customers, and demand.
  • Assist with sales and marketing response
  • Responsible for due diligence through closing of the property

  • State sales, regulatory, and field operations teams, analysts, in-house counsel and other RES team members
  • Community business leaders and clients in target markets
  • Outside counsel
  • Real Estate Broker and Agents

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS
  • 1 or more years in land acquisition and development OR sales

Desired:

  • BA/BS in Real Estate
  • 3 ore more years in land acquisition and development; preferably environment focused
