Overview

RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 180 stream miles and 40,400 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 6,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 11,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 240 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.

Responsibilities

RES is currently accepting applications for a Survey Party Chief.  The position will be based out of our Warrenton, VA office.

 

Position description:
Surveying and mapping activities related to environmental preservation and remediation, especially streams and wetlands. Work includes construction stakeout, topographic mapping, and as-built mapping. Most work is accomplished as a one-person crew. Occasional overnight travel can be expected.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of five years experience as a land survey party chief
  • Be able to use standard land survey equipment, including:
    Survey Grade GPS
    Robotic Total Station
    Be able to use or quickly learn Trimble Access field software
  •  Have a valid drivers license
  • Be physically capable of working outdoors, using and transporting survey equipment in difficult conditions
