Overview

The Stormwater Project Manager is responsible for project planning, design plans and calculations, permitting, construction administration, studies, and surveys for stormwater projects in southeastern Pennsylvania. The Project Manager will conduct design and construction supervision and quality assurance / quality control to ensure projects are executed as planned, as well as on time and on budget. Management responsibilities will also include the preparation of requests for proposals, budgetary estimates, contract specifications, and project schedules.

 

The Project Manager will prepare design plans, calculations, reports, and permit applications to support project development. The Project Manager with oversee field tasks including subsurface investigations and topographic surveys. The Project Manager will perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and execution of RES projects through all phases of project development, including; preliminary site investigations and data collection, evaluation of stormwater best management practices, topographic and utility surveys, design, permit preparation and submittal, agency review and meetings, construction, maintenance, and monitoring field work and reportin
  • Prepare site designs, estimates, permit documents, and construction documents
  • Perform all aspects of project QA/QC

Qualifications

Basic/Required:

  • BS or higher
  • 5 or more years of experience in civil site design or a related field is required
  • Proficiency in various hydrologic and hydraulic design software packages, AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong background in engineering technology and computer-aided drafting and design is required
  • Strong understanding of surveying, soil mechanics, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and 3D civil site design
  • Stormwater best management practice design experience
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and organization
  • Strong work ethic and ability to get the job completed with tight timeframes and difficult conditions
  • Excellence in oral and written communications

     

Desired:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or engineering technology
  • 7 or more years of experience in stormwater infrastructure design in Pennsylvania is desired

Location:

  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • This position requires travel and overnight stays, working outdoors in various weather conditions
